The Hungarian National Tourist Office

The single owner of the Hungarian National Tourist Office is the Prime Minister's Office.

The legal successor of the National Tourism Office was established on 1 March 1994 to perform the marketing tasks related to national tourism; the primary target group was defined as the travelling public, both domestic and foreign.

The product marketed is Hungary as a tourist destination.

One of the most important responsibilities of the Hungarian National Tourist Office is to collect and process information on the tourism market and to forward this information to the public, the trade and decision-makers.

The company’s other major tasks include helping to market the services of the domestic tourism industry, providing professional support for the development of products and services, and exploring the possibilities of tourism investment. Thus, it can help supply to meet demand and tourist-related income to increase.
